ethcs and snow

Well there is about 8 inches of snow outside my window and they are predicting another 6" to 8" by tonight. I am grateful for a warm house, hot cup of tea and warm sleepers.
So what's all this got to do with ethics. Well ethics is all about doing the right thing all the time even when no one is watching. When I see snow covering the mountain and everything in its path and and marvel at how beautiful it looks. I fail to see that under that snow might lurk things that can harm and be dangerous. And so it is with our ethics. There are things we can do to cover up and make it look good but once the snow is melted then what was once hidden is exposed. Everyday we get to make choices about what we should or should not do. Often we are in a position where our decisions can lay hidden under snow and for the time being look really good, but spring will come and the snow will melt and the things that we chose to hide will once again be exposed. So my thought for the day is "Do the things that if they broadcast your actions on a screen you would be proud of" and if you live your life like that Spring will be a great season in your life!
